If you've experienced financial hardship, you may qualify for assistance with your energy bill.

Listed below are local organizations, resources and programs that may help.

Flexible Payment Arrangements

We offer flexible payment arrangements to customers who qualify whenever possible. If circumstances make it impossible to pay your bill by the due date, you may be eligible for a payment arrangement. Certain guidelines and requirements apply.

To request a payment arrangement:

  • Log into your online account at TECOaccount.com and click on Payment Arrangement to complete our request form. If you don't have an online account, register here. Please note that it may take up to two business days to process your request.
  • If you need to make a payment arrangement sooner, contact us on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Share

TECO's Share program provides utility bill assistance to qualifying customers. Share is administered by Metropolitan Ministries, the Salvation Army and the Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg.

Budget Billing

Budget Billing takes the seasonal highs and lows out of your energy bill, providing you with a predictable monthly payment based on the average of your last 12 energy bills.

Energy-Saving Programs

Save energy and money with dozens of energy-saving programs, from monthly bill credits to time-of-use rates and energy-efficiency rebates.

Due Date Plus

Due Date Plus assists residential customers on a fixed income or whose Social Security, retirement, disability or other support payment may be received on a date that does not always coincide with the due date of your current electric bill. Qualifying customers enrolled in Due Date Plus will have 52 days from their statement date to pay their bill.

Please note that customers will be automatically removed from the program when they produce two non-payment service disconnection orders within a 12-month period.

Contact us on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to enroll.
